YOUR MUSIC. YOUR BUSINESS.
Privacy Policy
Last updated September 5, 2026 · Camper for Android
Camper does not sell your personal data or build advertising profiles. Your collection is for listening. Here is what the app stores and what leaves your device.
On your device
Camper stores generated Bandcamp player credentials in encrypted, Android Keystore-backed storage. It also stores preferences, cached collection information, artwork, and music you download so the app can work between visits and play downloaded tracks offline.
Your Bandcamp connection
Camper connects directly to Bandcamp and its content services to retrieve your collection, artwork, and audio. Collection requests use token authentication derived from your generated player credentials. Camper does not read or store your Bandcamp account login password. When you sign in on Bandcamp’s page, Bandcamp handles that sign-in.
Discover and Radio can be used without connecting a collection. Anonymous access does not make network requests invisible: Bandcamp and its content providers receive connection information, such as your IP address, needed to serve a request. Their handling of that information is covered by Bandcamp’s Privacy Policy.
Crash and performance diagnostics
Current release builds use Sentry to report errors, app hangs, and performance traces so problems can be investigated. Diagnostic reports can include technical information about the app, device, operating system, errors, and requests. Default personally identifiable information collection is disabled, and Camper scrubs credentials and private signed URLs from diagnostic events.
These protections do not mean that no data is transmitted. Camper’s current release is not a zero-data-collection app. Sentry processes diagnostic information on the developer’s behalf. You can read about the service at Sentry’s privacy page.
Sharing is your choice
When you use Camper’s share action, the artwork and music information you choose are passed to the app you select. That destination’s privacy policy applies to the information you share. Share cards are designed to exclude credentials and private stream URLs.
Managing your local data
You can remove downloaded music in Camper. Android’s app-storage settings let you clear Camper’s local data; doing so removes local preferences and account connection data, and you will need to reconnect. Clearing local data does not delete your Bandcamp account, purchases, or diagnostics already sent.
This website
This marketing site adds no advertising trackers, analytics scripts, signup forms, or mailing lists. Its hosting provider may process network and access information to deliver and secure the site. Access-controlled previews may require the hosting provider’s sign-in.
Policy updates
If Camper’s data practices change, this page will be updated with a revised date. This policy describes the current Android implementation; it does not make claims about other Bandcamp clients or third-party services.
